Who owns augusta golf course

Everybody in the professional golf circle in the s knew how instrumental Roberts was in growing the PGA Tour. He served as the chairman of Augusta National for 45 years and chairman of the Masters for 43 years. It was his attitude. I would imagine ANGC is owned by a smaller group of members, and there is a second class of members with no equity. The club is so valuable due to owning The Masters and TV rights , i just don't see them giving all new members equity is something so valuable.

Especially members from politica background, they could not afford to pay what an ownership stake in the cub is worth. Bubba Watson "owned" Augusta National last April. Although, if I correctly recall a previous thread on this subject, no one seemed to be able to find it at the Secy.

Of course, it might be a "foreign corporation" and be registered somewhere else. Going back to the original question, I don't see how it could be a typical "equity club", given the amount of money made by The Masters and the various IRS regulations which would govern such a a highly profitable endeavor.
