In reality, however, Sesshomaru is likely protecting Inuyasha and Kagome the best way he knows how. At any rate, it's something of a relief to know that neither of them is dead, though who knows what kind of life they're living inside the black pearl.
Characters being magically sealed away is quite common on Inuyasha , but Inuyasha and Kagome's imprisonment is still pretty tragic.
They've missed out on raising their daughter, and even if they're released, nothing can change that. The same goes for Rin -- though even as Sesshomaru takes away their daughters, she says she trusts him. Finally, it's worth mentioning Riku's involvement in all this. Riku has been working behind the scenes, manipulating events for a long time, it seems. He's really the reason Inuyasha and Kagome get the Black Pearl and the Beni, and so he's directly responsible for their fate in many ways.
He's certainly planning something big. I am also aware that most of you are not hispanic so this is a nice opportunity to do something different, I don't want to only do Incorrect Quotes. So I wanna share some fun facts about InuYasha in this part of the fandom just in case someone is curious. Miroku's Wind Tunnel was also renamed in the dub, though I don't know the reasons.
Here, the wind tunnel is named Agujero Negro Black Hole, yes. Jaken and Sesshomaru share the voice actor. So the guy is just talking to himself.
Jaken also instead of just calling Sesshomaru In The Final Act, almost everyone from the original dub cast returned, except for Naraku. Also, in the spanish part of the fandom Inukimi has been nicknamed Irasue I have no idea where that name came from, I think they got confused with Urasue, the witch who resurrected Kikyo.
I will never use that dumb nickname. They were called monsters or beasts. Until The Final Act, at least. Kagome only says Sit! I am aware in English he instead says I, Sesshomaru. However, she ended with the hilarious "Listen to me, Moroha, your mother should've been ME". Can you speak more to your Kirin and Kagura theory? Was Kagura sent to the future by Kirinmaru to protect her?
If so, how does Riku know jack shit and think Rin is the mom? Sorry for the late answer, anon, I was gathering information for your question. Surely I will share with you what I've thought so far, knowing that this is only an incomplete theory and not a certainty about what may happen in the future of Hanyo no Yashahime. Since this post will be long and may contain spoilers I will add a cut, so keep reading if you don't mind it.
Recently I came across a theory that Osamu Kirin is one of Kirinmaru's offsprings, being this the reason why Kirinmaru could see the future through Osamu's eyes. Actually this kind of power was introduced to InuYasha OG show through Kanna's mirror and Byakuya's flying eyeball, allowing Naraku to see what they were seeing.
We get to know about Osamu and Kirinmaru's connected view in episode 23 of Hanyo no Yashahime, where Osamu is looking at the sky at an airport rooftop? Shortly after this scene is over, we can see Kirinmaru also watching the same comet, even if it is only shown in the Reiwa period at that moment. When I've first watched episode 22 and 23 of Hanyo no Yashahime I didn't give a second thought about those events, however now I recognize that they are VERY important to the storytelling.
That is why episode 22 ended with the airport scene and episode 23 began with the continuation of this same scene. Now, rewatching episode 15 that is when we first knew about the comet, Riku tells Kagome that every years the comet approaches the Earth atmosphere and drops some fragments. Those fragments if not stopped by a powerful demon and by Meido Zangetsuha technic which is the only attack that can be used to definitively stop it this note was stated by Jaken in episode 15 and is very important and the reason why InuYasha was kept alive, since he is the only one who can hold Tetsusaiga and summon it , will bring the age of destruction to Earth, the exact same thing that the Spirit of the Tree of Ages also known as Treekyo says that is going to happen in episode 4, planned by Sesshomaru and Kirinmaru.
The first because he abdicated his title as Lord of the West and the second because he saw an opportunity in it to do as he wanted. We can see it through Sesshomaru's choice in InuYasha OG show and in the reaction of Kirinmaru when the comet appears in the Feudal Era soon after Sesshomaru's daughters were born. However, Sesshomaru only released this power when Kagura died. In the episode 3 of InuYasha - The Final Act, Totosai says to Sesshomaru that something grew where Sesshomaru's heart was lacking, that is why Tenseiga reacted to his change of heart and was now ready to recieve the Meidou Zangetsuha.
If we pay attention to Kirinmaru's reaction after the comet was destroyed in episode 15 we can see that he wasn't worried about the fragment being destroyed, even if it was his role alongside to Sesshomaru to make sure that the peace on the Earth should prevail. Yet, his place in that fight was taken by Sesshomaru and Sesshomaru's place was taken by InuYasha. Yet, in episode 23 the reaction of Kirinmaru about the comet fragment in Reiwa Era is quite the opposite, whatsoever.
Kirinmaru seemed to be worried and angry to have to face the comet and he imediately went to InuKimi's place to know if the wheel of time moved and he even tried to gossip about the intentions of Sesshomaru with Akuru's pinwheel. Knowing that Kirinmaru's intentions seems to face the comet himself, he needs Meidou Zangetsuha to destroy it in Reiwa Era.
This seems to be the reason why he was kind of frustrated to know that Zero had broken Tenseiga. By his actions, even if he put aside his plans of getting rid of half-demons, Kirinmaru is afraid of the prophecy of the Shikon no Tama about his death being true. That is why even if he thought that the Yashahimes were weak he still fought against them for a second time and killed Setsuna in the process. His problem with those girls is that they have Inu no Taisho's blood. The two Lords used to be pretty amiable with each other before Toga took a human as the mother of his second child, after being aware of the prophecy that a being that is neither human nor demon would kill Kirinmaru.
Taking this action as a sign of treason in their alliance, Kirinmaru made Toga his enemy and would've fought against him if Inu no Taisho wasn't severely wounded as we saw in episode Riku must have sensed it too, because he went to Zero's side and openly betrayed his master in episode This lack of trust was the reason why Osamu Kirin was created.
Kirinmaru needed a trustful subject. That is why he used Riku to deliver the medicinal herbs to Toga. Just a little advice : sesshyswind posted over a year ago. Seiuna said: First, I know this is over a year old, so sorry!! So here's my theory: Tenseiga may have come about because the Inu no Taisho didn't want to keep Meido Zangetsuha in Tessaiga, but I think the base of the sword was independent of that technique.
It had more purpose than just being a carrier for Meido Zangetsuha until Sesshomaru was able to perfect it and pass it to Inuyasha. Their father gave Tenseiga to Sesshomaru to teach him to respect life, something he needed to do in order to use the power of Bakusaiga responsibly. Or essentially that's what Tenseiga's purpose boils down to in my opinion. I also don't believe that their father was really trying to slight Sesshomaru.
It may have seemed that way a couple times, but in the end I think he was just teaching him some hard lessons. As such, setting up the Tenseiga so that it would be useless after Inuyasha took Meido Zangetsuha would have meant Sesshomaru really did get nothing.
As such they were designed so that all that transferred was Meido Zangetsuha, leaving Sesshomaru with the original Tenseiga. In a similar vein They were made from his fang after all and it is quite plausible in my mind given Tokijin and Sounga. They serve as a guide to his sons since he is no longer around to teach them himself.
If Tenseiga were to die, then it would mean Sesshomaru would lose his connection to his father. As for how the Inu no Taisho obtained the healing technique for Tenseiga to begin with. Totosai said in Episode 34, "when your father first commissioned me to make it, I shuddered at the thought of its immense powers. He had to know ahead of time that just giving that sort of technique to Sesshomaru was not a good idea, that he needed to do some changing before he would have any success with it.
So he commissioned Tenseiga with that in mind. I'm not entirely convinced of this theory because of when Sesshomaru commissioned Tokijin. It doesn't explicitly show him requesting special features, but that could be due to the base material Weak demon, no options. Great demon, get options. InuYasha - Bozen Kessen! Sesshoumaru vs. InuYasha Sesshomaru, having arrived too late to travel using Tekkei's river of blood, is provided an alternate method of entering the Netherworld by Kagura.
Hosenki is corrupted by his shard of the jewels which draws evil from Naraku's shards nearby. Hosenki is finally weak enough from fighting InuYasha that his shard is taken by Naraku - Destroy Naraku with Adamant Barrage - Naraku o Tsuranuke Kongosoha While Sesshomaru and Naraku fight, Hosenki challenges InuYasha to defeat him in order to strengthen the Tetsusaiga and acquire the power to fight back against Naraku.
Meanwhile, Naraku poisons everyone with his miasma. Rin is faced with the choice of living in a village, or staying with Sesshomaru. Meanwhile, Kikyo summons the soul of Midoriko to restore her powers. She explains to InuYasha that in order to destroy Naraku, his soul must be purified. Koga completes a series of trials to obtain the Goraishi, a treasure of his clan.
While Sesshomaru battles Moryomaru, Naraku returns Kagura's heart, then immediately impales her on his tendrils, injecting her with miasma and leaving her on the brink of death. She manages to float away on a feather, landing in a meadow filled with flowers, where she listens to her newly-returned heart beat in her chest.
Smelling Kagura's blood, Sesshomaru quickly finishes his battle, shattering his sword the Tokijin in the process. He finds Kagura in the flower field just as she dies. Her body dissolves into dust and her feather hairpin floats away on the wind, signifying that she is now free.
InuYasha and his friends arrive too late, and when InuYasha asks Sesshomaru if Kagura had suffered, Sesshomaru replied, "She was smiling. InuYasha's group find a temple where fox demons play tricks on others to try to advance in demon rank. After accidentally entering the test, Shippo plays tricks on InuYasha, who clobbers him. Shippo retreats into the forest where he meets a girl named Mujina whose sword can absorb the demonic energy of InuYasha's Tetsusaiga.
She uses the energy to attack him, but her will is too weak and she is defeated. Meanwhile, Sesshomaru learns the Meido Zangetsuha technique, which cuts a small path to the netherworld and sends one's opponent there directly. In the present, Kagome's grandfather tells her that the Shikon Jewel can only be erased from the world if one makes the right wish. Meanwhile, Sesshomaru visits his mother to ask how he can make Meido Zangetsuha even stronger and even more powerful then ever before.
She summons a Meido Hound for him to battle, which takes Rin and Kohaku into the void of the netherworld. He follow and defeats the beast and rescues them. Though Kohaku is able to move within the void because of the Shikon Jewel shard, Rin is not.
When Kohaku informs Sesshomaru that Rin isn't breathing, he stops shocked. The darkness of the Abyssal Void envelopes her and Sesshomaru confronts a guardian of the dead, but Rin dies. Sesshomaru uses Tenseiga to purify the dead in the netherworld, and Tenseiga brings him, Rin's body, and Kohaku back to the world of the living.
Sesshomaru is really disturbed to realize Tensaiga cannot revive Rin a second time, only able to resurrect a person once. His mother, after scolding him about thinking he could control life and death themselves, revives Rin using her own Meido stone, but warns that neither Rin nor Kohaku can be resurrected by Tenseiga again.
To Sesshomaru's surprise, Shishinki attacks him using a complete Meido Zangetsuha and claims Sesshomaru's father stole the technique from him. Sesshomaru attacks with his Meido, but Shishinki's absorbs it. InuYasha and his group arrive and after Shishinki attacks him, InuYasha joins the argument. Shishinki taunts Sesshomaru, telling him that he must have been shunned by his father if his younger half-demon, half-human brother has Tetsusaiga as Tenseiga is just a cast off from it to contain the unneeded Meido.
